Quick pit stop in Japan!!!

On my way from India to the US I decided to take the route from the pacific ocean, Before my departure I had spent 2 months in a Japanese English and math school near Delhi to perfect my skills for Green River College. At the school I befriended a foreign exchange student named Takuro.  Takuro had alone without his family, and being a dedicated student he spent very little time touring India, so I decided to show him a bit of India.

Well after he got a glimpse of India he offered me a place to stay in Japan. It was an emotional moment to leave my family behind but I knew it was for the better. After a long long plane ride I finally arrived in Japan. This was my first time in the orient.

Even though I was brought up watching Japanese anime it was unlike I had ever expected.

Mount Rainier Trip

On July 28 me and friends went on a school trip to Mount Rainier. Mt Rainier is located near Auburn which where Green River Colleges main campus, and also where I live. It doesn’t matter where you are in Auburn you will most definitely get a good view of the mountain.

Even my block is named after this mountain ” Rainier Ridge”. As a seasoned hiker from the Himalayas I was exhilarated, when I found out the School was organizing this trip, and that too for a mere $10.

As mentioned on the flyer we were told to bring lunch, however the free snacks were sufficient for me.

The view from our first stop Longmire was great, Mt Rainier seemed so close I thought I could almost reach out and grab it.

2nd Stop Narada falls!! I didn’t see such clear water for a long time.

And finally the main event mount Rainier!. I couldn’t believe  my good fortune that day as the weather was perfect and so was the event.

I also recorded the whole trip myself during the whole trip don’t forget to check it out below.↧

Planet of the Apes.

Having watched Spiderman homecoming about a week ago my movie fanatic housemate took me to yet another movie adventure. I remember watching planet of the apes as a kid, however this new movie series is contrary to the previous ones. Although i’m not a fan of the apocalyptic genre having watched the previous prequels and because of my compelling friend I went went yet again to the theater.  This time however my landlords son decided to join me and my housemate as well. Thanks to whom we got free ride as well.

Although I preferred the Planet of the apes prequels more, the latest installment was not a waste of money either.

Movie!!!!

In my opinion one of the greatest stress revilers is going out with your pals and watching a good move. Luckily both the school and my house is 20 mins away from a big multi theater. When my housemate introduced the idea of watching the new spiderman movie on Friday, I was a bit skeptical since as a 90’s kid I could could never get over the replacement of Tobey Maguire. Moreover I heard that the new spider man was a lot younger than his predecessor’s. However having nothing significant to do and for the mere price of $10 for a recliner seat as I gave the new movie a shot.

The movie proved my assumptions wrong. I enjoyed it thoroughly and thanked my friend for taking me with him!!

My housemate loved it as well. This experience taught me not make any unnecessary assumptions or to hold any prejudices against any one. In this case Tom Holland the new spider man.

Vancouver Trip!!

It was the end of a hectic quarter, me and my housemates were both stressed out and bored. We made a last minute plan to visit Vancouver BC, and so we departed by bus to Seattle and bought tickets for a mere $25 and arrived in Vancouver. However there was just one catch, we arrived at 12 at night and our cheap hostel wasn’t open until 8 am. And so we had 8 hours kill until our hostel opened. It was midnight and we we’re stranded in a foreign country. We decided to go to nearby fast food restaurant were we ordered just for the sake of staying there. Although we made a vow not to fall asleep since we didn’t want our belongings to get stolen, however all of us ended dozing of after an hour.

As soon as the sun came up at 5 am we decided to take a tour of the city

Even at 5 am while we wanted to pass out the view was amazing!!

The following day when we finally woke up from actual bed we decided to take a proper tour, even on a light student pocket we managed to see a car event. Unlike us the cars were not cheap.

As the sun went down we once again saw spectacular sights near our cheap hostel

Sunday Hike!!

AS A SEASONED HIKER FROM THE HIMALAYAS I ALWAYS FOUND PEACE WHILE HIKING. THE FIRST TIME I CAME TO GREEN RIVER COLLEGE, IT TOOK ME MORE THAN A MONTH TO LOCATE THE TRAILS OWING TO THE SHEER SIZE OF OUR CAMPUS. HOWEVER ONCE I DID I HAVE TO GO THERE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.

It takes around 8-10 mins from my house to the trails.

Although I departed at a very sunny time, however on the way to the actual Green River I still managed to find some shade!!

After an hour walk I finally made it to the River which has not only inspired me but my Colleges tittle as well.
